Problems with synthesis of content from sources
[edit]In "People of India", ed. KS Singh, much of what is discussed in the section entitled "Kabelia Tribe"pertains to the DALIWAL section of the Kalbelia. But the same cannot be said of the Mewara section of this populace, for example. (Refer to p. 478, "People of India: Rajasthan")
In regards to the statement that both men and women perform the dance, this is part true. The men, traditionally snake charmers and skilled in musical instruments will participate in the dance as musicians. The women perform the actual dance itself.
It should also be known that one of the "herbal remedies" cited is actually the practice of extracting snake venom and selling the snake venom for its healing properties. I don't think that snake venom counts as an 'herbal remedy'.
In short, there is a great deal of difference between these two groups and I think we owe it to these people to correctly identify their distinct cultures properly and correctly. The sources cited within the Wikipedia article itself make these distinctions, and it is disappointing to see that the substance of this article does not appear to reflect what has been cited. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Luxdsg (talk • contribs) 02:25, 18 July 2019 (UTC)
