Solving the example
[edit]The example is very helpful until the final step -- it's not clear to me how to solve the maximization problem. Are there other steps that can be added, or a description of the technique used? (There may be a obvious way to do the final step -- I'm not great at math -- but it seems like it would be more advanced than the math used in the explanation of the earlier steps, which are all simple algebra.)
