Minor point: when I recently added some author and journal links, I also added 2 links that were already present, Musical Opinion and Paul Rapoport (music researcher), because their 2nd mention was a considerable number of paragraphs after the 1st. In the case of the magazine, it also made for a strange appearance in "Writings" with 4 linked titles, and then the unlinked Musical Opinion. Such use of repeated links has been discussed at length in the talk page of WP:REPEATLINK and I suggest to re-instate them as a service to readers, but I won't press it. Note that WP:REPEATLINK says "generally". -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 06:10, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

Point well taken. I'm generally wary of anything that could result in arbitrary back-and-forths or "soft" edit wars, but I suppose the likelihood that this article will attract any such flare-up is well-nigh zero, and the pros clearly outweigh the cons. I have thus reverted my revert. Toccata quarta (talk) 18:27, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

Rapoport, ed: Homogenous?

Much of this is sourced to Rapoport, Paul, ed. (1992). Sorabji: A Critical Celebration. Aldershot: Scolar Press. ISBN 978-0-85967-923-7. I haven't seen this book, but the review of it in Musical Times suggests that it's an assemblage of discrete parts by varying authors. Have I somehow got the wrong impression? If no, I've got it right, then why isn't each reference to this book as a whole instead to a specified ingredient (author(s), title, page span) of the book? -- Hoary (talk) 12:20, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
