Kagame (surname) → Kagame – Move the surname page to the base name over the current redirect to Paul Kagame. Paul Kagame is not known by the mononym and is not the primary topic for the single word. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 11:08, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose No evidence shown as to why this should be done. There aren't many Kagames on Wikipedia (2/3 of them are just Paul Kagame's family) and heads of state are commonly known by their last name. There's at least one book about him that's known simply as Kagame, and the redirect has had as high as 384 daily hits in the past. That's all the signs of a clear WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT. - Oppose per Nohomersryan. Check NGRAMS and you can see that the name picks up when the Rwandan Civil War happened.[1] (t · c) buidhe 13:05, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
