Track listing
[edit]Currently Track listing section is divided into two listings. One for first seven songs and other for rest eight with the heading "Alli Arjuna (bit-songs) track listing". None of the official sources (iTunes, CD1, and CD2) mention these last 8 songs as bit songs. My question here is, what is the need to split the songs into two sections? For me, its a case of WP:OR. I had clubbed them together but @Arjann: reverted me multiple times. In my opinion, all the songs should be clubbed together like this. Also, all the reasons given by Arjann in the edit summaries for revert are not helpful. He is showing owbership to the article. This was also noted by one of the admins when he was reported for edit warring. Please opine. - Vivvt (Talk) 16:36, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
- Do as you please, but based on reliable sources. Kailash29792 (talk) 05:46, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
- I have not written anything other than what is mentioned in the source. When you don't mention this way then the track timing parameter is getting violated. The aim is that people should understand how the track list is actually. It's fine that bit songs track list is not given anywhere but is not something way away what the source says. Is it always so necessary to write exactly (dot-to-dot) the way source mentions? Moreover, the soundtrack's CD cover mentions what you are trying to say which is right. If there existed a way to avoid timing thing then I would have fairly agreed with what you want. But I found this as better way to represent the track list. It explains completely with notes. Please @Vivvt:, read WP:OR once again.
- I really get frustrated when my hardwork on these pages goes in vain. I do editing manually and no softwares for rectification. And yes, I do not own any page. It was really sad that you put me in a harrowing time hastily, lodging a complain/report to the administrator. Such incidents make me feel that I should stop contributing/editing the pages. That is why I have decided to spend lesser time over here after this month. Arjann (talk) 16:22, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
- You are saying I am right and you are also saying you want to stick to your format just for the sake of length parameter! When three of the sources mention one format and you are diverting away from it, does not make much sense to me. Here I propose another format.
No. | Title | Lyrics | Singer(s) | Length |
---|---|---|---|---|
1. | "Vaanga Makka Vaanga" | Na. Muthukumar | Haricharan, Dr. Narayanan | 03:36 |
2. | "Aye Mr. Minor!" | Pa. Vijay | Shashaa Tirupati, Haricharan | 04:43 |
3. | "Yaarumilla" | Pa. Vijay | Shweta Mohan, Srinivas | 04:32 |
4. | "Sandi Kuthirai" | Pa. Vijay | Haricharan | 03:56 |
5. | "Sollividu Sollividu" | Pa. Vijay | Mukesh | 04:24 |
6. | "Thiruppugazh[b]" | Arunagirinathar | Vani Jayaram | 02:18 |
7. | "Alli Arjuna: Vandhanam Vandhanam" | Vaali | Haricharan | |
8. | "Alli Arjuna: Yaadhavanam" | Vaali | Haricharan | |
9. | "Alli Arjuna: Alli Varugiraal" | Vaali | Haricharan | |
10. | "Alli Arjuna: Priya Sakhiyae" | Vaali | Bela Shende | |
11. | "Alli Arjuna: Kanna Kanna" | Vaali | Haricharan | |
12. | "Alli Arjuna: Naan Annathooviyil" | Vaali | Bela Shende, Haricharan | |
13. | "Alli Arjuna: Gettimaelam" | -- | Instrumental | |
14. | "Alli Arjuna: Nenju Porukkudhillaiyae" | Vaali | Haricharan | |
Total length: | 33:58[a] |
- Notes
- ^a The total length of the soundtrack is 33:58 with the total duration of "Alli Arjuna" as 10:28 but no individual track duration mentioned for the seven bit songs.
- ^b The song features lyrics from the compilation "Thiruppugazh" written by Saint Arunagirinathar

- I see no opposition to this proposed format for last 7 days. So I will change it tomorrow on the article. - Vivvt (Talk) 16:32, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
