"stars Suriya in the titular role" to "stars Suriya, Mohanlal, and Arya, alongside Sayyeshaa in an important role". First of all, Kaappaan is not a character name, so it's not a titular role and three names (I mentioned) are billed as "starring roles" in the official posters [1][2]. 2409:4073:39A:3186:B4A7:8F5F:F5F3:4AE (talk) 12:57, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: I fixed the "titular" thing but went a different direction with the other phrasing. The original poster featured three guys, so presumably they are the stars, and TOI indicates that Sayyeshaa is the female lead.[3] Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:57, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Primary source

[edit]

The film's 100 crore gross is attributed to this source, which is just parroting what Ramesh Bala has published, i.e. a regurgitation of Lyca Productions' claim that the film grossed 100 crore. This makes it a primary source, which we typically do not use for box office figures in Indian cinema. When people complained about The Great Father grossing 50 crore, the argument against publishing that, was that the figure came from the producers. If we can demonstrate that this is the general figure the industry is comfortable with through their own estimates, then we might consider adhering to it.
