October 2006

[edit]

Who wrote the off road motorcycles section? It is the most confusing English I have ever read, "The suspension of the KTM is softer and slightly than the XC line" first of all what is slightly supposed to mean in this context and how can you compare the overall make of bike with one of the models? I tried editing it a bit but I had to give up because it was annoying me too much. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.109.189.248 (talkcontribs) 07:04, October 30, 2006

KTM ownership

[edit]

I have ridden and raced motocross on and off for the last 28 years. I have ridden several years of Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Suzuki dirt bikes and bought my first KTM in 2003. I will always ride this brand as the quality is above reproach in comparison to the Japanese bikes. It is now 2008 and with minor modifications my 2003 SX250 is competitive with 2008 2-stokes race bikes. When they say "ready to race" KTM means it. While in profesional racing, Japanese companies often send out bikes costing upwards of $100,000 KTMs pro bikes are heavily modified but nowhere near as expensive...because they start off that much better than the other brands.

If you want a disposable bike that you must replace each year after racing or heavy use, they buy what you want, if you want a motorcycle you can abuse and still live with that doesnt wear out like the rest, BUY KTM. Michael James

Pierer Mobility AG

[edit]

Pierer Mobility AG seems to be an important force in the motorcycle industry, yet there is no article on them in Wikipedia. Let me start by pointing you to their website: Pierer Mobility website in English. Their partner in KTM is Bajaj Auto which does have an entry. John Do'h 14:03, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
