KSI Discography
[edit]The songs and ep’s that I have linked are works in progress , all of them are too well known not to have articles it must be done , feel free to help! Bobslob123456 (talk) 05:24, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
- Please see WP:NSONG. Songs must have in-depth third party coverage. Charting on its own does not satisfy notability requirements, it merely gives an indication that there may exist material to actually do. - Brojam (talk) 17:28, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
Lighter
[edit]Hello everyone. La33d is claiming that KSI is a main artist on the single "Lighter" by Nathan Dawe, and not a featured artist, stating its an equal collaboration. I have tried explaining to La33d that KSI is a featured artist, but despite all of the proof, he continues to revert my correction to the discography, now engaging in an edit war.
KSI is listed as a featured artist on all versions of the song on all download and streaming platforms. Here's a few examples:
- For the original version - https://music.apple.com/gb/album/lighter-feat-ksi-single/1522012310 and https://open.spotify.com/album/4Fhgi0Jr4OpapEwNNSHhdK
- For the acoustic version - https://music.apple.com/gb/album/lighter-feat-ksi-ella-henderson-acoustic-single/1527653380 and https://open.spotify.com/album/6INxj18FKxPT0rnS5ZZ7rL
- For the S-X remix - https://music.apple.com/gb/album/lighter-feat-ksi-window-kid-big-zuu-s-x-remix-single/1529114629 and https://open.spotify.com/album/6ZG6yTgX98qcvRLrFUOMJ0
- For the PS1 Remix - https://music.apple.com/gb/album/lighter-feat-ksi-ps1-remix-single/1532232129 and https://open.spotify.com/album/2GXQREUkwqOOmHd0j1wsft

The single's cover art says, "Feat. KSI", which can be viewed here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Nathan_Dawe_-_Lighter.jpeg
KSI is listed as a "featured artist" in the song's credits, which can be viewed via Tidal here - https://listen.tidal.com/album/147289836/credits
I'm not sure how much more evidence I can show La33d... It would be great if someone could help me out. Thanks -- Timwikisidemen, 12:58 15 January 2021 (UTC)
- You are correct; KSI is a featured artist on the song, it credits him as such and even the cover art says feat before his stage name. --K. Peake 13:08, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
Choice of charts
[edit]Hello Special:Contributions/157.38.47.215 and other users, Here are the points that need to be addressed about KSI's discography table, partocularly for singles as a lead artist:
- KSI has achieved more entries on the Lithuanian singles chart (2), the Netherlands Single Tip (2) and the US Dance chart (2) than the UK Dance singles chart (1) as a lead artist. Therefore, either LIT, NLD Tip or US Dance should replace UK Dance for your reasoning of "use charts the artist's had more success on".
- Sales from the Scottish Singles Chart contribute towards the UK Singles Chart because Scotland is part of the UK, so there is no need to list the Scottish Singles Chart in the discography table. It's better to list a chart that covers another region. Also, the Scottish Singles Chart is now defunct as of 2021, so there will be no futher entries in the future. For these reasons, SCO should be replaced with another region's chart.
- Sales from the UK Independent Singles Chart and UK Hip Hop and R&B Singles Charts again contribute towards the UK Singles Chart, so there is no need to list these two charts in the discography table. It's better to list charts that cover other regions.
- KSI's chart success has improved massively from when this discography article was first created. I know this because I was involved in the creation of this article. Back then, his singles would only chart in the UK (on the UK, UK R&B, UK Indie, IRE and SCO charts), which is why these charts were used in the table - because they were the only charts we had available to use. Nowadays, KSI's singles are charting all over Europe and in other international regions. This change needs to be reflected in the discography table. Bare in mind, currently, half of the columns are for charts of the same region (UK). Therefore, this table is not a good reflection of KSI's international chart success.

Hello, Timwikisidemen
- Agree with the first one. UK Dance chart should be removed from the lead table and LIT chart and US Dance chart should be added due to having more entries.
- Agree with the second one.
- I know sales from UK Independent Singles Chart and UK Hip Hop and R&B Singles Charts are included in UK Singles Chart, however KSI has multiple songs that never made it to the main UK chart but made it to UK Independent Singles Chart, therefore UK Independent Singles Chart should be displayed for that reason. It can be removed when the chart replacing it is a main chart of a different region, however NLD Tip is not the main chart of that country. If it was the main NLD chart, then yes I would've agreed.
So yes, I agree that the UK Dance chart should be removed from the lead table, I agree that LIT, LAT and US Dance should both be added and I agree that Scotland chart should be removed. The only thing I don't agree with is I think UK Independent Singles chart should be added back and NLD Tip should be removed. Neither NLD Tip nor UK Independent Singles chart are the main charts of their specific region, however UK Independent Singles chart has a lot more entries than NLD Tip. So UK Independent should be swapped back into lead table in place of NLD Tip and in featured table in place of either NLD Tip or BEL Dance. I hope you will make this change and its clear now.—157.38.50.253 (talk) 14:14, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
Hello 157.38.50.253 Thank you for your comments, but I still don't agree with the point about the UK Indie Chart. The UK Indie Chart is a chart that many independent artists will easily impact with their songs. So many unknown songs hit this chart. To be frank, the chart is very insignificant and unimportant. I just don't see the importance or relevance of this chart being in the discography table. Nowadays, all of KSI's songs hit number one on that chart. I don't mind including the UK R&B/HH chart since that's a lot more relevant and a 'bit more of an achievement' to impact these charts, but regardiong the UK Indie chart, it's better to include a chart from another region. With KSI's few singles that didn't impact the UK Singles chart, but hit the UK Indie chart or other UK charts (like downloads and streaming), we can just leave a note in the UK Singles column saying this, for example, like with "Beerus", "On Point" and "Jump Around" etc. I hope this makes a lot more sense. Thank you. --Timwikisidemen 07:30, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hello Timwikisidemen, like said it can be removed when the chart replacing it is a main chart of a different region, however NLD Tip is not the main chart of that country. If it was the main NLD chart, then yes I would've agreed. It could easily be argued that NLD Tip is an equally insignificant and unimportant chart if we go by your reasoning, and with significantly less entries in this case. So per WP:DISCOGSTYLE, the choice comes down to which chart KSI has had more success on and that's easily UK Indie. UK Indie chart should be added back, until there's a main country chart of a different region that can be added.—2405:205:138C:4462:DC97:8218:340C:3E66 (talk) 05:56, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hello 2405:205:138C:4462:DC97:8218:340C:3E66, Ok, for that reason, we can use the Greece Singles Chart instead of the NLD Tip because the former is a main chart. I will make this change now. Thank you.--Timwikisidemen 08:04, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- Perfect. Now US Dance would be the next chart to get removed from the lead table, when a main country chart needs to be added. Until then, it can stay.—2405:205:138C:4462:58A2:E045:1A0D:CE4E (talk) 09:11, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
