Earwig says good to go. No concerns from me either.

Prose

[edit]
  • In § Early history, wikilink Rock Island, Orion, Quad Cities and Fox as their first mentions in the body.
  • "(picking up Channel America programming to fill the void)," – I believe the citation should go after the punctuation instead of before the parentheses.
    • Specific choice here as the citation only covers the material in parentheses.
  • "WBQD-LP, a low-power UPN affiliate" – "low-power" (at least in this sentence) sounds rather strange to me; is an alternative word choice available?
    • No, unfortunately. Low-power is a class of TV station in the United States (notice the -LP ending to the call letters).
      • Oh I see now!
  • "In an unusual arrangement, the production of the newscast was outsourced to Davenport" – very picky concern but how about removing the to make the sentence flow more smoothly?
  • "For EBI Video, the KLJB partnership" – looking at the rest of the article, I believe this sentence should now say "EBI" for consistency.

References

[edit]

Passes spotcheck on refs 7; 15; 20; 35; 42 and 50.

  • Add url=dead on refs 27 and 28.
    • The articles are still live at new URLs.
      • Thanks for adding them!
  • Some citations for the Quad-City Times include the location parameter whilst others do not; is there a reason for this?
    • Code changes/inconsistencies in PressPass. The location parameter only worked in one way of getting the citation and I used two methods. (Said method no longer works at all thanks to changes in newspapers.com.) Did some cleanup here to make them more consistent.
