When the meal begins
[edit]The text says, "Dinner starts when the first star appears in the sky. ... the meal usually begins between six and seven o’clock." That's quite a discrepancy; in Lithuania on December 24, it's dark enough to see the first star by about 4:30 in the afternoon. —Angr 17:51, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Either merge or split
[edit]I think either this article should be merged with Twelve-dish Christmas Eve supper (preferred), or that artilce should be split along national lines and be used only as a disambig (not preferred). --Kevlar (talk • contribs) 23:13, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
Hempseed Traditions
[edit]The text omits any mention of traditional usage of hempseed in Lithuania on December 24, whether in the traditional soup or as a seasoning salt. There are academic folkloric sources and recipe books which mention such usage, so it's omission seems rather revisionist in nature. —Sudowite 09:32, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
Possible vandalism
[edit]If someone pulls a straw that is fat, crooked and wet, they may have digestive problems resulting in gas with oily discharge.
This is not actually in the source that is cited directly afterwards, and the sentence seems pretty out of place, which makes me suspect that it may be vandalism/potty humor. Someone should check whether there is any basis to this. 70.172.194.25 (talk) 19:56, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing out this nonsense. I checked the source and it says nothing of the sort, so I removed it in this edit. Cukrakalnis (talk) 10:15, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
