Half avoiding mentioning race?
The Premise section says this movie involves "Walter McMillian, a man wrongfully imprisoned for the murder of a white woman." I don't know the story at all, but I'm guessing McMillian was black, and that this fact is somewhat relevant to the story. Why does the woman get her colour mentioned, but not McMillian? Is this some distorted form of political correctness? HiLo48 (talk) 23:09, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
Haven't Seen Yet But Heard Factual Errors re Death Row Exoneration Rates Way Off
Hi all, my older brother saw the film; he's a big anti- death penalty person and as a staunch Libertarian (since May 1999) I am anti-death-penalty as well. Question: Interestingly, the film incorrectly claims the exoneration rate for death row is about 10%. According to Wikipedia it is MUCH LOWER -- about 4%! I will be updating imdb.com by submitting a new "factual mistake" GOOF -- after I see the film and can gather more factual evidence -- but did anyone else catch this or know a lot on the subject? Question: Should this GOOF be included in the main article about this film somewhere?? Cheerio . Cheerfully.. From BIGTIME movies-buff, Peter a.k.a. Vid2vid (talk) 21:10, 17 January 2020 (UTC).
Why reference to the Confederate Battle Flag?
It just seems a little odd to single out that in one particular scene there's one shot of the confederate battle flag. RedRamage (talk) 02:43, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
Edit for balance in account
Adapted from Stevenson's memoir, the film features Michael B. Jordan in the lead role, and Jamie Foxx second. Some content seemed intent on focusing on Foxx as the star; while he was excellent, as noted by award nominations and wins, he is classified as Supporting Actor. I edited this to show Stevenson/Jordan's role more accurately.Parkwells (talk) 18:34, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
