Release date
Umm, if this movie has not even been started (pre-production) and there is some speculation as to whether or not it will ever be created, how can it possibly be released in 2006? Especially since JP movies are traditionally released in the summer. Roman Soldier 03:18, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
Sources
Does anyone know any sources for the confirmations by Spielberg on what scenes will be in the movie? Since he isn't officially directing or writing it, how would he know what is going to be in it? Sounds fishy to me but not fishy enough to delete yet...Oldkinderhook 02:27, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, Spielberg may in fact be directing the film. See the current revision of the article. --Every1blowz 15:08, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
Spielberg IS NOT directing it. If you need proof, check his fan website: www.speilbergfilms.com and look around the archives for Jurassic Park IV. as for scenes, i know of one he wants in it. If you have read The Lost World novel raptors chase humans and humans escape on motorcycles, well thats a scene he wants in Jurassic Park IV. --koolboi141 13:54, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
yeah right
the article claims this will happen after indy 4...rumor or fact? anyway indiana jones 4 is supposedly still in the development stages and won't come out for a very long time (if ever). Jurassic Park IV??? don't hold your breath!
- From the interview with Frank Marshall by iF Magazine...
- iF: What about JURASSIC PARK 4? :)
- MARSHALL: It’s kind of off the radar. We’ve got BOURNE here [he indicates at the top of the table he’s sitting behind], we’ve got INDY here, [indicates a little further back] and we have JURASSIC back here [far back - almost at the edge of table]. Steven’s obviously been pretty busy the last year, so we haven’t focused on that yet. But we will.
- We'll just have to take his word for it. --Every1blowz 08:22, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
I'm 100% sure that T-Rex was not bigger than spinosaurus. Have you not heard the knew discovery of spinosaurus? Well take a look at the spinosaurus page on wikipedia here. Also Jack Horner stated it was the largest meat-eating DINOSAUR. And Liopleurodon is not a dinosaur, it is a giant reptile that swam in the sea.02:05,15 March 2006 4.252.198.165
What the heck is that rediculous title about?
Ridiculous
Super-dino crime fighters?!!! The series should probably come to a conclusion before submerging into total bogus like genetically engineering humans. The first film was scientifically plausible (at least somewhat)(one of the few that are), but now they're abandoning it and going straight to superheroes fighting dinosaurs?! Egads!!! Scorpionman 16:55, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- This is indeed getting a bit dumb. The first two films were classics and the third was just mediocre. Most likely, the fourth film would be totally rubbish. I dread to think of the future of this classic genre. The writers are all running out of ideas! --Siva1979Talk to me 15:12, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- I totally agree. The first one was the best. The second one was okay, and the third one? Well, I haven't seen it but I hear it's pretty good (but not all that great). But, now we're going to genetically engineeered humans — well, it sounds like Steven Spielberg's getting into another Godzilla film series. Bug Eyed Monster 22:12, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
- That's the way it goes. Real dinosaurs are too boring, so they use monsters. After three films with monsters, those are too boring, so they need Ninja Turtles...Dinoguy2 22:30, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
- What's so boring about real dinosaurs? I thought they were monsters! Scorpionman 12:53, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Actually, I think Jurassic Park IV will be the best out of the series. More time has been spent on the script and the main course its heading. and as for real dinosaurs getting boring, as if, dinosaurs will never get boring in films. Just ask the fans! :D koolboi141 14:02, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- I've never seen a dinosaur film with realistic dinosaurs, so it's unknown whether or not they'd be boring ;) Dinoguy2 20:07, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- True. Dinosaurs were animals too, so they wouldn't go crashing through barbed-wire fences, Blockbuster videos, buses and pecking through windshields like crazed monsters. I'm sure even dinosaurs had the capacity to feel pain. Of course whether or not a movie without dinosaurs on LSD would be entertaining is another story. --Every1blowz 20:23, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- I simply refuse to believe that they'd go through with a retarded idea like mutated fighter dinosaurs. Honestly, would they really take a plot that would already be absurd for a shoestring-budget straight-to-DVD turd or a crappy PC game and use it in a Jurassic Park movie? - I'm sure they would. They should stop this franchise right now if they're going so low as to jump the shark. Scorpionman 21:40, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
The reason the new movies are terrible is that they migrated from Crichton's vision. Look at Lost World: the character of John Hammond is kept to make a not-so-subtle point about environmentalism? The decline started there. -Kang227
'Speculations' section
I've removed it, because it doesn't belong on Wikipedia. (Any section titled 'Speculations' probably does not belong on Wikipedia.) That section was entirely original research, and had some nasty weasel words like "many fans believe..." Wikipedia is not a place to publish your own thoughts and analyses. Unless someone can find a reliable source where these speculations were proposed I see no reason why the section should be included. Nuge talk 10:31, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Super Crime Fighting Dinos??
PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THIS IS TRUE! The first 2 were great, the third really needed help, but crime fighting dinos? I would rather have there not e a 4th movie than have that TERRIBLE idea come to life, please tell me if there is any new information about the film, hopefully some GOOD information. Bcody 00:22, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Don't Worry, It is not true. Well it was at first until they changed the plot a bit. If they did make a 4th including fighting dino's, It would have definately ruined the Jurassic Park series for sure! koolboi141 21 June 06 (UTC)
"The first 2 were great, the third really needed help" Are you serious? one was barely decent, 2 was little more than shit thrown on a screen, and three...i won't even comment on. Read the books.
Wikipedia is not a place for your own opinions.
First of all, this is the discussion page, where many people express their oppinions. And if you didn't notice you also expressed your own opinions. "one was barely decent, 2 was little more than shit thrown on a screen, and three...i won't even comment on." I can also tell by looking at the history that you aren't a member. Feel free to become one, then you can learn the guidelines for Wikipedia yourself. Bcody 23:51, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
- The talk page is meant for discussing how to improve the film article, not to express your opinions on anything but methods of improving the article. My opinion is that the film article could be substantially improved by organizing the information better, such as Production and Plot. The references could be cleaned up as well. --Erik 00:22, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- The article can only be improved by improving the screenplay. Scorpionman 21:42, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Dinosaurs
What types of dinosaurs are to be in this movie? I suppose the Velociraptor, but what about the T-Rex or something more cooler? Like Spinosaurus?Punk18
It is unknown at the moment but I suppose the Velociraptor, T-Rex and the Spinosaur are all going to reappear. Along with new creatures but that is also unknown. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Koolboi141 (talk
- Where did you hear that information? Any sources? --Erik 19:57, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
no, but you can almost bet your life that rex, velociraptor, and Spinosaurus will return.
I'm actually hoping for a Giganatosaurus appearance, they are supposedly, the most powerful (biggest?) carnivorous dinosaur of all time, and they hunt in packs as well...LazyManJackson 01:30, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah that would be very cool if a Giganotosaurus appeared in Jurassic Park 4. I think maybe the Allosaurus and the Utharaptor might also appear. Johnny542 20:51, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Would Biosyn be the main human villain in the movie? -- 206.255.18.154 22:12, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
knowone knows yet.
I doubt that the t-rex will be in it. The movies have always updated the dinosaurs as new evidence comes in, and it been proven that the t-rex wasnt that agressive.
