[edit]The median income for a household in the town was $200,000, as is the median income for a family. Males had a median income of $56,250 versus $29,545 for females. The per capita income for the town was $200,087. 8.1% of the population and 3.1% of families were below the poverty line. Out of the total population, none are under the age of 18 and 2.7% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line
This data seems a little suspicious, as median household income is equal to per capital income. However, since the means are very susceptible to outliers (a couple of rich celebrities), I'm not sure. JianLi 22:41, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
The wealthiest people in America have houses here.. Might want to put that in here... There's probably 5-10 billionares living there..
I also think it sounds odd -- I mean come on, nobody's living below the poverty line on Jupiter island. Unless, maybe, you're talking live-in servants. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.230.73.86 (talk) 17:21, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Poverty levels are defined by income, not net worth. A senior citizen on Social Security, earning $750/month, will be below the poverty level, even if they live in a $2 million mansion in one of the wealthiest enclaves in the country. Additionally, household income and per capita income are not at all the same thing, as households may have several earners (mom, dad, and the two adult kids still living at home, for example).Horologium (talk) 22:46, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Edited "Nice Price" to Nick Price; typo was leading to an incorrect article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.187.51.107 (talk) 23:12, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
