Article issues
[edit]- The history section mentions only one minute aspect of the airport's history, rather than serving as a proper history. I realize that perhaps the best sources for this likely aren't on the web. For instance, I believe the book about Kendler's Dairy mentions the earliest days of the airport. OTOH, while Alaska Coastal Airlines deals mostly with the actual airplanes involved, the portion of the history section of that article not dealing with the airplanes appears to be amply sourced. That tells me that there should be something out there on the web.
- The "Location and controversy" section is full of environmentalist-leaning POV. To highlight the worst example: The original airstrip was built in the 1930s, and no environmental impact analysis was performed at that time. The uninitiated perhaps may not realize that this was about 35 years before the passage of the National Environmental Policy Act, and therefore no environmental impact analysis was performed because none was required. As an expansive dairy farming area, the site perhaps offered the best available land with the least expense in developing it.
- Surely there were other accidents and/or incidents besides Alaska Airlines Flight 1866. Even though that article isn't very well-sourced WRT the actual crash, I responded to the "citation needed" tag with "you must be kidding me." In response, I'd better go tag a bunch of articles which state that Barack Obama is the president of the United States, but aren't sourced. Just joking, I think.RadioKAOS (talk) 12:36, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
