The Historia Augusta is not necessarily a reliable source
[edit]1. It's a late-fourth-century hoax. 96.231.17.131 (talk) 02:52, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
2. It is open to misinterpretation. I think there are problems with relying on recent secondary sources, but it does help keep amateurish original research from swamping more rigorous research. 96.231.17.131 (talk) 02:52, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
Last Prefect of the Praetorian Guard?
[edit]Asclepiodotus is listed as the last prefect of the Praetorian Guard. Interesting that he, as former subordinate of Constantius Chlorus, fought against Chlorus' son, Constantine, on behalf of Maxentius. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.216.7.5 (talk) 20:56, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
