Nationality

[edit]

@PMCH2: thanks for creation this article; it's always nice to see new articles on women classicists and ancient historians. I saw you put the article in the category "Australian academics". Are we certain that she is actually Australian? I'm wondering because she graduated from the University of Munich and has a German name, too. Given that there's some doubt over this, I'd only add this category if a source explicitly reveals her nationality. Best, Modussiccandi (talk) 19:17, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for raising the point. You are likely correct regarding her birthplace; I found a source where she says she is not a native English speaker. She has been teaching in Australia for many years and is a fellow with the Australian Research Council, but I don't know her citizenship. I can remove the category.
