Expanding this Article
[edit]I expanded this article and included information from the French page, which was much more extensive than the English page, not surprising since the subject was French. The French page included biographical details that I didn't already have. However my French is minimal, so I ran the page through Google translator. My French is just good enough to tell that Google did a poor job. For instance it consistently translated 'she' as 'he' and 'he' as 'it', and seemed incapable of distinguishing present tense from past. All that on top of keeping the original French syntax, which of course had to be changed to make sense in English. And it said that M. Gravereaux was making gasoline when in fact he was distilling rose oil. Good thing I already knew that! And some things just plain didn't make any sense and I couldn't tell what the original said, so I had to drop some things. Also the French version had NO citations. At all. Do they not cite stuff in France?
So I respectfully request that anyone with a working knowledge of French, or more information on M. Gravereaux, please improve this page! thanks/merci.
