For what it's worth

We might want to do a section on this man in literature if he is the man mentioned several times in Victor Hugo's "The history of a crime" (see http://books.google.com/books?id=FKsTAQAAIAAJ&pg=PA583&lpg=PA583&dq=Bastide+crime&source=bl&ots=0Z_Rz5eJaR&sig=p1GNAKXQvc91HiXuvhe2Zlwzl5o&hl=en&sa=X&ei=WNMqVJWRPI-cyASj7ICYCQ&ved=0CDcQ6AEwCQ#v=onepage&q=Bastide&f=false) which add up to quite a vivid portrait.
