I notice that there is no suggestion here that Judith Montagu's father was anyone other than Edwin Montagu. Yet the article for her mother Venetia Stanley states "In 1923, she bore a daughter, Judith, who was said to be the child of William Humble Eric Ward, then Viscount Ednam and later 3rd Earl of Dudley". Similarly the article for William Humble Eric Ward states that "He is said to have fathered a daughter, Judy Montagu, in 1923 with the aristocrat and socialite Venetia Stanley, although the legal father was her husband Edwin Samuel Montagu". However there is no suggestion in Edwin Montagu's article that he was not the biological father of Judith. It does seem that there is inconsistency across these articles and I wonder what other editors think is the best way of dealing with this? Dunarc (talk) 22:51, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
