Merge to Judge Dredd

[edit]

There are generic topics about judges that do not concern Dred directly. Council of 5 springs to mind (Dred having never served). myork 13:29, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't merge this page. Other articles relating to subjects in Dredd's world link to this, to explain what "judge" means in that context. If they linked to Judge Dredd instead, readers would hbe faced with a massive article and would have to read/scroll down a lot to find out what a Mega-City judge actually is, by which time they would have lost patience with the original article they were on. It's better to keep this page. Richard75 00:43, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't merge.

1.The Dredd article would be too long if it included all the information about Judges in general.

2.The Judges don't exist only in Dredd stories.

3. Green Lantern Corps has a seperate article to The Green Lantern. Dredd is at least as significant to British comics as the Green Lantern is to American Comics. The Judges deserve their own article! --Iron Ghost 23:36, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Technically this should be voted on in the Judge Dredd article as the suggested merge is into that entry. While I'm here though I vote for keep it needs to be explained separately. (Emperor 11:36, 1 September 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Merge with Cadet Judge

[edit]

Someone has suggested merging Cadet Judge into this article - I'm not against the article and will err on the side of caution and vote for keep but it does need expanding. (Emperor 11:36, 1 September 2006 (UTC))[reply]

I expanded it a little, but I'm not sure that there is an awful lot of more material to add. It seems to make more sense to move it here, as both articles deal with two aspects of essectially the same topic, and reading them is like reading one article split into two. I've merged them. Missing information!

[edit]

If the Cadet Judges fail their assessments to become full judges over 90% of the time, what HAPPENS to the judges who fail? This is in no way clear nor is it an easy answer to find for the uninitiated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.89.94.250 (talk) 10:32, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
