The result of the move request was: not moved. The baseball player was shown to have an apparent lead in usage (albeit not as firm as I'd like), and the long-term significance was cited to support a no-primary situation in the first place, and thus does not sufficiently counterweigh the usage lead. In the end, the scales are tipped towards the baseball player remaining primary. (closed by non-admin page mover) — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 22:54, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Support – at first I was leaning opposed just based on page views, but Roman Spinner has a solid argument. Juan Castro only takes up around 1 and 1/2 pages on Google Search, suggesting to me that he does not meet criteria for primary topic. cookie monster75502:41, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Relister comment There seems to be an overwhelming lack of confidence in the baseball player being primary. In addition, I tried to do some math with the cited massviews, and the baseball player only has 62% of the pageviews, not 81%; not a supermajority to me. Any other comments on the opposer's cited pageview figures? — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 00:36, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose While we have a number of articles linked on the Juan Castro (disambiguation) page, only a small portion actually seem to ever be referred to by "Juan Castro" in common usage -- it is perfectly reasonable to have someone like Juan de Castro linked, for example, but it does not raise a competing claim to the base name if the base name is not used to refer to the subject. Of what remains, there appears to be a clear primary topic going by page views. Otherwise, the !votes just seem to point out the existence of the other pages, which in and of itself is not a reason to not have a primary topic (otherwise we wouldn't need a concept of a primary topic at all).--Yaksar(let's chat)07:17, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
