The result of the move request was: page moved as requested, and since disambiguation can be covered by the hatnote, I'm going to copy this section to Talk:Juan Bravo after the move. GTBacchus(talk) 23:46, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
Juan Bravo → Juan Bravo (disambiguation) — Relisted discussion. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 19:55, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
Until a short time ago the rebel was the primary meaning of Juan Bravo, a move was made without discussion, and some changes made which mean it cannot be reversed without going through this procedure. The rebel is clearly more important than the athlete, the Spanish, French, and Catalan Wikipedias all treat his as the sole meaning of this name. There are also some issues to do with Spanish naming conventions about how we deal with Juan Bravo Murillo. PatGallacher (talk) 09:32, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
- Juan Bravo (rebel) → Juan Bravo
- Oppose It is not clear that Juan Bravo (rebel) is the most important. Stats for last month show that both pages have very low hits, 366 for Juan Bravo and 161 for Juan Bravo (athlete). As the rebel was previously at the undisambiguated name these stats would have been boosted by people actually looking for the athlete, or other people with that name. Therefore there is no clear primary topic per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Tassedethe (talk) 09:46, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
Page hits aren't everything. The rebel was a leading figure in the Castillian War of the Communities (aka the Revolt of the Comuneros) a major conflict regarded by some historians as the first modern revolution. He has a statue in Segovia. His article on the English Wikipedia may be fairly short, but he has a longer article on the Spanish Wikipedia (maybe some of it should be translate given time) he is also on the French and Catalan Wikipedias. The athlete just won a few medals in South American games in the 1920s, he is not on any other Wikipedia. PatGallacher (talk) 10:13, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
- Support per nom and would prefer to delete the disambiguation page after the move per WP:DAB. With only 21⁄2 Juan Bravos, just use hatnotes. — AjaxSmack 02:52, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
