Forced to resign?
[edit]The intro makes an unsubstantiated claim that the U.S. government forced him to resign. The body of the article, however, reveals that he the U.S. government merely refused to recognize him and that he decided to quit, due to the possibility of an armed intervention (it is not clear whether the purported intervention would have been foreign or domestic). So which one is it? It can't be both! To my understanding, the U.S. can recognize or refuse to recognize any head of state. That's called diplomacy. That does not equate to "forced resignation." Let's clarify the facts.--Lacarids (talk) 23:18, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
