wikification
[edit]Hi Cyelambert and 66.65.32.155, I saw the Jan. 5 tags for cleanup, (see the page's edit history) and have made edits based on several Wikipedia guidelines.
- For example Wikipedia biography style recommends that the opening paragraph include name, birthdate, nationality, what the person is known for (in this case as a poet) and why the person is significant (she is known as a poet in her community through appearances on local radio).
- Biographies of Living Persons says that "biographies of living people must be written conservatively and with due regard to the subject's privacy" and information should be relevant to the person's notability, which is why the references to childhood writing and Leftow's son have been removed. The Autobiography guidelines also recommend not including facts that can only be verified by the subject of the article herself. (NB No other info has been deleted, although the wording is now more concise. Some unsourced statements remain, hopefully we can add sources later.)
- Wikification in the edit summary refers to adding links from keywords to other Wikipedia articles, adding common Wikipedia subheadings and coding the references in Wikipedia style. It is all built on your good start. HMAccount 03:31, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
