Proposed deletion
[edit]User:Crusio just removed the deletion template which User:Phearson put on this page. Phearson proposed that nothing in the article suggests that the article's subject meets WP:N, which is correct. However, the article's subject does meet Wikipedia:Notability_(academic_journals) criteria 2, which states "The journal is frequently cited by other reliable sources." A Google Scholar search shows more than 250 articles have been published by this journal, and those articles are in turn being cited by all sorts of other journals.
If anyone still doubts the notability of this journal then let's get another opinion. There are third-party reviews of the journal's content on publisher websites but the ones I have found are short and not good quality. In general it is difficult to find reviews of any journal. Definitely this journal is intimately connected with a prestigious organization which organizes the world's largest and most respected AIDS conference. Blue Rasberry (talk) 13:15, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
- I have added info on abstracting and indexing showing the journal is notable. Note that I did not remove the tag about third-party references being needed (the other one kind of duplicates that and I'll remove it in a second). --Crusio (talk) 13:38, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
