Straw poll

[edit]

Per Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Physics#3rd_opinion_at_Journal_of_Optics, a straw poll regarding preferred versions of this article:

Please indicate your preferred version, with a short statement of reasoning if desired. Per WP:POLLING, this should be considered a starting point for negotiation or a tool to measure pre-existing consensus, not a binding vote of any kind. --Christopher Thomas (talk) 05:29, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • It would depend on whether there is good evidence that Journal of Optics actually is used to refer to those other journals. How about some discussion before we have to pick an opinion? If you're at the point of needing more opinions, why is there no talk here about what the issue is? Dicklyon (talk) 05:38, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • A. I would revisit this question if anyone could show that 'Journal of the Optical Society of America A' was ever referred to as 'Journal of Optics.' This ought to be a straightforward question of finding some evidence. EdJohnston (talk) 18:59, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
