Samuel S Beard Award
[edit]I just came across this part of the article: "In 1973, Yablonski received the Samuel S. Beard Award for Greatest Public Service by an Individual 35 Years or Under, an award given out annually by Jefferson Awards."
I believe this is a mistake; Joseph Albert "Jock" Yablonski died in 1969, and he was in his fifties at the height of his public service.
Seeing that Jock Yablonski's son was also named Joseph Albert Yablonski, and was 32 when this award was given out, I believe that he was the actual recipient of this award. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:304:AB8A:56D9:700E:D6A1:F62F:156A (talk) 08:13, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
phrase inverted?
[edit]Did not make a change, but think one needs to be made. There is a phrase in the paragraph about miners wanting more local autonomy, using the words "local unions". I think it ought to be "union Locals". If anyone agrees, please feel free to make the change - I'll back you up ;-) ---- Lynn — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.211.166.71 (talk) 01:36, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
