Some proposed changes

[edit]

Replace 'It seeks to understand the root causes of social problems, to identify ways of overcoming them, and to show how social needs can be met in practice' with 'It is an independent organisation working to inspire social change through research, policy and practice.' Delete 'politically leftist' - incorrect description. Delete 'The current chief exec is Julia Unwin' - incorrect, correct name is already present in the box, top right.

Current programme areas - delete all, these are out of date. 108.171.128.167 (talk) 13:42, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. The proposed addition to the text, despite being an improvement, still uses promotional tone. You may wish to look at WP:NPOV for advice on more neutral wording and words to avoid. The "incorrect description" request should include sourcing to how the organization is generally described in reliable sources, while proposing to delete the programme areas due to them being "out of date" is not how Wikipedia works. Instead, you should propose updates to those programmes to reflect the current ones. Note that carefully reading the edit request instructions will maximize your chances of having the request accepted. Note that another reviewer has dealt with the chief executive part. Edit request declined. Regards, VB00 (talk) 14:07, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
