Apparently, this got rejected for lacking notability. A quick Newspapers.com search yielded a mountain of sources. If the winner is automatically notable per WP:NPOLITICIAN, the loser is likely notable too.
Donna R. Causey's site here on him was removed over a notability concerns. I think she is reliable per Wikipedia standards as a researcher and author of many books on the history of pioneers in Alabama. FloridaArmy (talk) 07:14, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
