I suspect that both he and his brother were born in Fauquier county, despite various sources which in passing say he was born in Gloucester, Prince William or Fairfax counties. He or his father appear on the tax rolls in Fauquier, which is on a major route westward to the Appalachians from Williamsburg and Fauquier county. The Prince William and Fairfax sources mention the headwaters of the Bull Run watershed. The stream originates in Loudoun county near its border with Fairfax and Fauquier, and enters the Potomac River in Prince William county (even if the robocall scammer who just called seems from Roanoke and the previous robo-texter from New York city). For what it's worth, the father supposedly died in Pittsylvania County, i.e. around Roanoke, and on near the Wilderness Road southward toward the Cumberland gap and either westward to Tennnessee or eastward to the Carolina coast.Jweaver28 (talk) 21:55, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
