This article indicates that it was begun with text from the public domain DNB, but it does not match the version currently linked at Wikisource (wikisource:Jane, Joseph (DNB00). Text is however, literally and liberally duplicated from the 2004 ODNB, which is not public domain. Compare the following, from the article's foundation with this edit:

Jane was one of John Arundell's officers at the siege of Pendennis Castle from April to August 1646, and appears as a signatory to a desperate appeal for help addressed to the prince of Wales. After the surrender of Pendennis Castle on 17 August 1646 Jane went into exile and began to suffer financially.

With the ODNB:

Jane was one of John Arundell's officers at the siege of Pendennis Castle from April to August 1646, and appears as a signatory to a desperate appeal for help addressed to the prince of Wales. After the surrender of Pendennis Castle on 17 August 1646 Jane went into exile and began to suffer financially.

There is more duplicated content; this is an example. The content is listed under authorship of Joad Raymond from 2004.

If we cannot verify that this text was copied from a version of the DNB that has lapsed into public domain, the article will need to be deleted or replaced. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 00:26, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have now added the DNB version on the temp page Talk:Joseph Jane/Temp Talskiddy (talk) 20:05, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
