Still a stub?
[edit]The No. 1 selling brand of tequila in the world and the article on it is a stub? I was expecting the complete opposite. This article needs expansion. 71.8.77.160 (talk) 19:46, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Might not be pure agave tequila
[edit]I believe some of Cuervo's tequilas are not 100% agave, but are largely mixed with sugar alcohol. Also believe that Mexico allows the word 'tequila' if just 51% agave is used. You might get what you pay for.
I think this is definitely something the article should address... what percentage agave are the different cuervos? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.129.251.18 (talk) 21:10, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
No Accent?
[edit]Far as I can tell, Jose does not have an accent. I'm relatively new to wikipedia, and love it as a resource, but am not too interested in learning how to edit it and such.
I agree. There are no accents on any bottles. Yet somebody has consciously redirected "Jose Cuervo" (without the accent) to this location with one. 208.65.64.18 (talk) 14:32, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Move?

The result of the move request was: page moved per discussion. I would note, however, that the claim there are "no accents in the English alphabet" is simply false. See, for example, Charlotte Brontë. Nevertheless, in this case, the common name uses no accent. - GTBacchus(talk) 17:01, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
- Checking the logo in the infobox, a Google image search for labels, and the product's own website, there is clearly no accent on the "e". McGeddon (talk) 10:54, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- So why does the Spanish Wiki use it? Srnec (talk) 22:11, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- To be clear, Oppose. Removing the accent does no good. Srnec (talk) 20:55, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
- Support as there's no accents in the english alphabet. GoodDay (talk) 23:01, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- Support the brand does not have an accent in English. 65.94.47.63 (talk) 04:08, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
- Support Here is an ngram and here is company's Web site, which says: JOSE CUERVO and the other Trademarks listed under Products are owned in the U.S. by Tequila Cuervo La Rojeña, S.A. de C.V. In other words, even though they put a diacritical on the company's name, they do not use one on this brand name. Kauffner (talk) 09:08, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Songs about the tequila
[edit]I think the 'Songs about the tequila' section should be removed completely as it adds nothing of worth to the article. Lopifalko (talk) 09:27, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
Becle
[edit]Correct me if I'm wrong, but Jose Cuervo, the brand, is owned by Becle. Is Becle then owned by Proximo Spirits, or is it an independent entity? Is there somewhere in the infobox where we can include this? WikiWinters ☯ 韦安智 02:49, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
Proximo Spirits is owned by Becle, S.A. de C.V. 2604:2000:CFC0:100:7522:85A7:B6DB:F767 (talk) 02:07, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
