Uncertainty about the Court House

According to [1] the current courthouse was build in 1934, and this is obvious because of the art deco style of the building. The current text of the article states that the courthouse built soon after the 1878 fire still stands in Jonesboro, but I am confused as to whether this is a mistake saying that the current courthouse was built much earlier than it was or that the 1878 courthouse is still standing. I'm quite certain it is a mistake because the courthouse built soon after the 1878 fire was torn down to make room for the 1934 courthouse which is the current one. I wouldn't mind making the fixes myself if somebody can confirm this for me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.194.160.37 (talk) 14:07, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

No to merge

I say no to merging the articles Jonesboro, Arkansas and The Mall at Turtle Creek. The mall article is sufficient enough to sustain itself as is the Jonesboro article. The mall is the only mall to open during 2006 and is a major shopping area not only for Jonesboro but for Paragould, Southeastern Missouri, Northeastern Arkansas, and even Western Tennessee. It serves more than just Jonesboro and doesn't need to be merged. That is like saying Arkansas State University should be merged with Jonesboro. Keep them separate. No Merging

I believe the Mall of Turtle Creek is worthy of its own page. It is significant in that it has had national attention and this is credited by the references that the starter of the thread has posted. Do not merge the threads. (70.252.80.187)

History of Missouri

For some reason the history of missouri article was copied into this... It should probably be fixed. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Missouri for reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.107.30.73 (talk) 04:10, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Poverty line

About 12.9% of families and 17.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 22.4% of those under age 18 and 12.3% of those age 65 or over

That sounds quite high for a town that seems to have everything. How can this statistic be explained? This sounds like the kind of statistic you might read about in a third world country. Viriditas (talk) 03:14, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

The Arkansas delta is one of the poorest regions of the country. 65.128.143.106 (talk) 21:47, 7 January 2016 (UTC)

Snowfall averages

Since Jonesboro is one of the least warm cities in Arkansas, the climate table is incomplete without snowfall averages, which I would think are above average for the state due to its relatively low average temperatures in winter. 65.128.143.106 (talk) 21:49, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
