Can someone check this for copyvio-ness? I don't see anything jumping out at me at Google...
Thanks. [[User:|Pakaran]]. 01:39, 21 Feb 2004 (UTC)
- I don't think it really matters. This has nothing to do with Jonathan Davis. I guess I'll "fix" it. sik0fewl 01:55, 21 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Zeppelin Davis
It was announced today (May 9th, 2007) that JD's 3rd child, Zeppelin Davis, was born on April 28th. Congratulations, man! URFG 00:35, 10 May 2007 (UTC)URFG
POV
This reads like a fan page, not a NPOV factual article. Djbrianuk 15:29, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)
I agree.--Happycat93 01:28, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Happycat93
and?
who cares if it's like a fan page, he deserves even more fan pages, he's earnt it
- ..except Wikipedia doesn't deal with fan pages, it deals with encyclopedia-esque articles. That's the problem, yo. I'll try and fix it up after work. Dead 20:03, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
Korn kicks ass except "head" pussed out.
Wikipedia is a place for articles like what you would find in a encyclopedia, the old fashion kind. If you are saying that he needs more fan pages, how about you go make one?--Happycat93 01:33, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Happycat93
Forgive me if I'm doing this all wrong, but the citation information for his movie career is pretty readily available on imdb. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0204901/ I don't know if you count that as a valid source, but if someone wants to take the time to cite it correctly it'd remove that ugly NOT CITED banner.
And He Was Molested...?
I know it's true, god love him, but where the hell is that in this article? This reads, not only like a fan page, but like a page by a new fan that's very uninformed.

Clean-up and POV
This article really need to be cleaned up and checked for NPOV.It reads too much like a fanpage.I did as best as I could, but this needs major work and time!It would be best to seprate into things like Early life,Personal life,etc...--Happycat93 03:02, 16 April 2006 (UTC)Happycat93
Weight?
In Korn's last few videos, it seems as though Davis gained some weight. Does this have anything to do with anything specific? (as in something besides "he started eating more"). if so it may belong in the article
- Actually Jon's lost alot of weight since last year. ALOT. I think it has something to do with his blood disorder and being on Prednisone for a while (its a steroid). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Machinehead09 (talk • contribs) 22:42, 13 February 2007 (UTC).
Grill?
In the new video he has a grill, is it real? Maybe some mention should be made? Gopherbassist 20:13, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Sure is right!!
Whoever wrote the comment about Johnathan's weight is right! He sure has gotten fatter.I liked it in da old days when he was skinny and on drugs. Now that he went cold turkey, he gained a little, but he's still cute to me!But the chest hair does' nt cut it(have u seen his chest hairs?,gross!)the article needs more details, but was fairly good.

Masturbates?
Should this really be in here at all it has no affiliation with his career at all.
Please find a better image for Jonathan
I think Jonathan deserves a better presentation. This picture currently used is incredible ugly. I wonder if someone has put it in purpose. What do you think about it? Broken soul 14:57, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- I came accross that {{cc-by-sa-2.0}} licensed photo while scouring flickr for free images to use on wikipedia. It is definitely not the best or most flattering picture of Davis, but it is current, accurate, and, most importantly, free. Wikipedia fair use criteria preclude the use of copyrighted promotional photograph to depict living persons. If you come accross (or create) a photo of Davis that is in the public domain, or is licensed under the GFDL/compatible CC license (cc-by or cc-by-sa), then feel free to change it. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 17:23, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

manic depressant?
if i remember correctly he has bipolar disorder. shouldn't this be added in the article somewhere?
Devin Davis
of course i suppose i could be wrong, but the link for devin davis is to a male singer, not jonathan's wife. can someone either confirm that her name is not wrong, remove the link, or create a disambiguation page?
Tom Deans
I can confirm Jonathon does not have a mental Disorder. To say manic deprssant would be incorrect, after you read what he went through at an early age, you can't expect more from the man. I attended the Australian gig in April 2006, Jonathon puts alot into the shows. I can see that with what had happened to him in London July 2006, a rest was in order. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 123.2.29.55
Why the hell you still callin him "Jonathon" . The goddamn name is JONATHAN for christ sake.(talk) 09:51, 22 April 2007 (UTC).

I looked at the article for "skinhead" and it doesn't seem like saying someone is a skinhead is neccesarily being racist. -Anymouse
POV, tone
This article reads in places like a fansite, and is unencyclopedic throughout. I'm going to take a crack at fixing it. -Hemidemisemiquaver 22:37, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- I agree, it's pretty bad in its current state. The tone is the biggest problem, but the structure isn't very good either. Also the personal life section reads like a series of unrelated bullet points. I wish you luck in cleaning it up as it will take some work, I'd help you but I really know very little about the man or his career (I'm not a korn fan) and just happened to stumble across the article. blankfrackis 01:28, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Korn name
Stop writing "Korn" with the backwards "R", the NAME of the band is "KORN", the inverted "R" fits the logo, it's not used in typing, besides, the backwards "R" is a russian letter or something like that.
personal life
Jonathan was never sexually abused by a man, it was a woman. I read in a Bakersfield newspaper interview, i'll post wich one as soon as i find that interview.
Ok, the interview is already there...thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.44.132.46 (talk) 14:29, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Jonathan HIV Davis
No mention of this?
“ | His nickname is HIV, as a sort of agreement with the "faget" term he was dubbed in high school. He does not, in fact, have AIDS or the HIV virus, although he does have the letters "H I V" tattooed on his upper left arm. He says "That tattoo has probably saved my life. You know in situations when passion and lust take over your brain.... I take a look at that tattoo and I remember that the virus is out there and you never know who's got it." | ” |

Howsmon
Jonathan's middle name is Howsmon, not Houseman. This name has been misspelled by the media for years! Merger proposal
One person, one article. We do not have separate articles for authors who write under different pseudonyms for different genres, and the WP:OWN-like opposition at Talk:JDevil to a previous informal move proposal, "This is an alter ego, not just an alias, and I'd rather it didn't merge", is not a valid reason for the existence of a second article on one person. There can be separate sections for "Work as JDevil", "Recordings as JDevil" etc. Or, if that name is the one by which the man is better known, the merged article could be moved to the "JDevil" title. PamD 08:14, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
- To merge JDevil into the Jonathan Davis article do I just move the sections into the article under a new JDevil section? Nbcwd (talk) 19:57, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
- Not quite so simple - there's a procedure set out at Wikipedia:Merge#How_to_merge. I'll take your comment as consensus that the merge is OK to go ahead, thanks (I can't imagine anyone else objecting), and will do the necessary now. PamD 23:01, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for the assistance. I would like to learn how it's done so if you don't mind teaching me along the way, I'd appreciate it so that I know how to do it in the future if ever deemed necessary. I am new to wikipedia and am still in the learning process of all the in's and out's. I am a representative of the artist and want to help keep these articles current and accurate. Your assistance is much appreciated! Thank you! Nbcwd (talk) 23:23, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
- I've done it, though I'm sure the article could use some tidying up now - and the two infoboxes probably need to be merged into one. The key thing is that there has to be a trace back to the originators of the content. OK in this case it was largely just the one editor, but not entirely. So, as per the instructions at that "how to merge" link above, there are edit summaries saying where the content came from/to, and talk page templates which give the exact links. The content on the page can now be edited around to merge it into a more coherent article - I'll leave that to you, though I've made a start. I hope you have read WP:COI, as you are the subject's representative and clearly have a "conflict of interest" in that your interest is to promote the artist, not the encyclopedia! PamD 23:38, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
- I have read the WP:COI and do not have a conflict of interest as the page is not used as a promotional tool and I am not an employee. Just because a person is connected to the subject of the article doesn't mean they can't remain objective about it. The accuracy of the encyclopedia with proper citations is at the forefront of my mind. My external relationship with the artist does not interfere with my ability to edit the pages. I have integrity and you should be careful of making accusations! Nbcwd (talk) 23:48, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
- You said, above, " I am a representative of the artist ", which certainly makes it appropriate to point you towards the guidance at WP:COI. It depends what "representative" means, but it certainly sounds like someone editing for and on behalf of the artist, rather than a neutral editor. If that isn't what you meant, perhaps you should have worded it differently. PamD 14:22, 10 January 2013 (UTC)

Evilution
Wikipedia page, Beatport, iTunes and....whatever, every tracklist of Vitamin D clearly says "featuring Jonathan Davis", not JDevil — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.25.185.232 (talk) 15:13, 6 April 2013 (UTC)

I just want to comment on KoRn, they are the most greatest band, i have been a -fan- since i was 13 years of age, now i am 22, i have grown up to their music, they have enspired me to better my life, also not to give a damn what other people think of you, Jonathan Davis creates great lyrics which comes from the heart, i just hope that KoRn stays around for another 10 years, lovely.......

Queen of the Damned OST & Alone I Play
Any information about the 5+ tracks he composed and later sung for the Queen of the Damned (soundtrack)? This also leads to the Alone I Play album, which features all those songs with his vocals.--Vankog (talk) 19:56, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
- He never released those tracks with his vocals on them other than during his JDSFA AlP tour. As far as I know, he has no intention of releasing these tracks either. Nbcwd (talk) 20:00, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

No mention in his discography section of the work he did on the Queen of the Damned soundtrack. Any reason for this?Hsxeric (talk) 21:14, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
Factual accuracy disputed
Someone inserted a blatant lie into the Early Life section. The source cited didn't say anything remotely close to what the article was claiming. I don't have much interest in reading an article about Jonathan Davis to hunt for lies placed by dumb teenagers, so I'm tagging it. Kindzmarauli (talk) 20:37, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
- Can you be a bit more specific? Which item are you disputing, specifically? Nbcwd (talk) 20:45, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
- I mentioned it up above under the "Mr. Rogers" heading. I already removed it but the rest of the article needs to be checked as it may contain other dubious claims and falsified statements. Kindzmarauli (talk) 20:48, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
Mr. Rogers
" He says Mr. Rogers was responsible for making him a victim in his childhood." The citation says nothing about this. Should be verified from a better source or removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.188.181.27 (talk) 21:35, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
- I removed this falsified crap. Idiots are making up lies. Kindzmarauli (talk) 20:35, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
- That's actually not completely a lie. The citation might be wrong, but he has said something similar in the past. Nbcwd (talk) 20:49, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
- I don't know what he's said but inserting that claim with an obviously falsified citation makes me think it's dubious. If he's said it in a reliable source then it can go back in, otherwise it's blatantly falsification of sources which is a blockable offense. Kindzmarauli (talk) 20:53, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
- No need to be so hostile and angry. It wasn't a blatant lie or a falsification. He has said something similar to that. Just stop calling people names. That is also a blockable offense. Nbcwd (talk) 20:56, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not hostile at all, I'm simply calling a WP:SPADE a spade. And YES it is a falsification if a statement is added to a BLP and then cited to something that doesn't support the statement. That's WP:V 101. Falsifying citations on a BLP is unacceptable. Kindzmarauli (talk) 14:47, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
- Calling out something to possibly be inaccurate doesn't necessitate you to call things "crap" or "blatant lie" or "falsification". He has said something to the effect of the quote you so eloquently called a "falsification". It might not have been in whatever article was cited, but I know he has said this before. If I EVER find the quote, I will add it, mostly to prove you wrong. On another note...there is more to life than wikipedia. You need an education in professionalism and appropriateness. Oh and you should maybe have a look at WP:Civility Have a nice day! Nbcwd (talk) 14:40, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
