Political Differences with Ryan
[edit]The citation makes no mention of political difference - in particular liberal democrat vs conservative republican. IO have not heard of any political differences between Ryan and Daniels. In terms of organization management, "political differences" typically refers to power struggles within an organization (e.g. who makes ultimate decisions regarding hiring/firing, or how the club is run) - NOT who voted for who. This needs to be removed. It is neither accurate nor necessary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.166.255.130 (talk) 15:33, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
Are Trade Details Necessary?
[edit]What the hell kind of Wikipedia entry is this? No other GM in baseball has a transaction-by-transaction editorial summation of their entire career. This is among the worst Wikipedia pages I've ever come across. Totally amateur stuff here. Reads like forum posts from a Rangers fan site. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.173.18.182 (talk) 21:50, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
- The picture seems a little derogatory, but I think the trade details record should stay - few decisions are so relevant to a team's success. If other articles on MLB GMs lack this information, that's their deficiency. These articles aren't for PR fluff. That said, I'd prefer the trade details be shown in table form, outside of the article text, but that would take work from somebody and until that happens, the article needs to stay as it is in this regard.
Photo?
[edit]Why is such a horrible photograph used with this article? It looks like a screen-grab.108.66.238.112 (talk) 06:08, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
No Mention of Manager Ron Washington?
[edit]This article doesn't even mention Daniels's hiring of Ron Washington, the most successful Manager in the Rangers' entire history measured in terms of regular season wins and losses, post-season wins and losses, and championship appearances. For all the note made of Daniels' trades, this is very surprising; surely his hiring of Ron Washington can seen as one of Daniels's most significant decisions. This article is sorely lacking without inclusion of Ron Washington's managerial career timeline.BLZebubba (talk) 12:12, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
