Plagiarism?
[edit]This article reads like a PR puff piece. Was it plagiarized from a press release? 67.188.226.210 22:02, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- It does appear to be plagiarized, from [1] -- that's why I've marked it copyvio. People keep removing the warning, though. I do wish they'd stop. :) --Jay (Histrion) (talk • contribs) 16:45, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Cleaned it up. I guess there was no reason of me not to just go ahead and do it in the first place, was there? I'm silly. :) --Jay (Histrion) (talk • contribs) 23:45, 14 March 2007 (UTC)!
The article does not read well. It's all Bauman this, Bauman that, Bauman this, Bauman that. I think we're all aware that the article is about Jon Bauman. I think it should be flagged to have the quailty brought up to the Wikipedia standard.Menright63 (talk) 03:04, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
Was Mario's "Bowser" named after him?
[edit]I heard that the "Bowser" character from the Mario series was named after Jon Bauman, is there any confirmation of this? MoeMoeKyun (talk) 17:19, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
- I very much doubt it. There are plenty of sources that talk about the "Koopa" part of his name, but I have never seen anything giving the origin of the "Bowser" part. If it were such a simple explanation, I feel like it would have been included. Krychek (talk) 19:12, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
