According to Athletic Club's rules, every person with basque origin (born in the Basque Country or with basque parents) and players who have other origin but are raised in Lezama can be part of the football team. So, Jonas Ramalho achieves these rules not because his mother is basque, but he is born in the Basque Country (so he is basque) and he is raised in Lezama.
First black player of Athletic Club was Miguel Jones, from Ecuatorial Guinea. He played a friendly match against Indautxu team in 1956. He could not play official matches with the regular team because he was not from Biscay. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.86.52.67 (talk) 02:39, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
