Moldova Repeatedly Requests for Russian Withdrawal

[edit]

Hello wikipedians, as a student of Russia's foreign affairs, I'm immediately suspicious of any article on Russian troops in Transnistria that fails to mention Chisinau's repeated rejection of Russian troops on Moldovan soil. Consider these sources:

http://www.balkaninsight.com/en/article/moldova-asks-un-to-address-russian-withdrawal-08-23-2017

https://www.rferl.org/a/moldova-calls-on-united-nations-russian-troops-transdniester/28693178.html

https://sputniknews.com/europe/201709221057624961-moldova-russia-transnistria-troops/

Let's not kid ourselves. The situation in Transnistria was designed by Moscow as a frozen conflict--Russia's version of a puppet state, where independence masquerades for occupation. This is straight out of Russia's Putin era playbook and Moscow has replicated it in other separatist statelets on the former Soviet Union’s territory, including Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Nagorno- Karabakh, Donetsk, Lugansk, and Krim.
