I just want to bring this up, in the episode the letter is not saying Wuntch "conned" Holt but is insulting another police character who is unseen. MarvelAge91 (talk) 07:19, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source to back that interpretation of the scene in question up? Without a source, it's just your opinion. Thanks. User:Jgstokes (talk)—We can disagree without becoming disagreeable. 03:19, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Jgstokes Yes, I do, in addition to having watched the episode again, I found several GetYarn clips of the scene where Holt saying the 'simpering buffoon" part of the letter(as part of a series of short clips from the episodes) https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/0c93eff1-aa5a-4430-8aad-141404ffcd91

As well as two unofficial transcriptions online that all have the same dialogue, I will put the links here as well as the dialogue as I transcibred it from rewatching.

Holt: Madeline's not some invincible succubus. She's a regular succubus, and she can be defeated. We just need to find the letter.
Terry: What letter?
Holt: Before our current police commissioner was hired, a mutual friend told me Madeline wrote a letter to the mayor telling him it was a mistake. She apparently called her now-boss a "simpering buffoon".
Gina: Amateur, always say your insults to someone's face. No paper trail.
Holt: A copy of that letter exists in the mayor's archives. I can't go snooping around without alerting Madeline, so it won't be easy, and we don't have much time, but I need you to find that letter.
In addition, I took several photos of the TV and posted them on Imgur in a hidden post and the link to be sure. https://imgur.com/a/LvBTYiw MarvelAge91 (talk) 04:44, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, even if that is accurate, none of those sources are sufficiently reliable for Wikipedia purposes, as they violate established policies. What you need to look for is a reliable source that meets the standard of inclusion for TV episode descriptions. Included in those policies are the following guidelines: "Plot sections should summarize the core storyline(s), but not offer a scene-by-scene sequence of everything that happens, or attempt to evaluate, interpret or analyze it. Avoid minutiae like dialogue, scene-by-scene breakdowns, individual jokes, or technical detail. Also avoid information that belongs in other sections, such as actors' names. Overly detailed summaries are unencyclopedic. Material copied verbatim from other sources can risk a breach of US copyright law, and a plot summary may not be copied from elsewhere unless its license is compatible with Wikipedia use. Also note that Wikipedia's content disclaimer and guideline on spoilers is that an episode's important events should be outlined without censoring details considered spoilers, and without a disclaimer or warning." If you can find a source for your desired changes that meets both the standard for reliable sourcing and the guidelines liad out in the policy I copied above, then by all means, let's make your preferred changes. Fair enough? User:Jgstokes (talk)—We can disagree without becoming disagreeable. 05:38, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is not an evaluation, an interpretation or an analysis. It is not doing scene-by-scene, it is changing one sentence in the paragraph to be more accurate. However, I will try one more time, by citing directly the episode and putting it in the footnotes, as the episode is a source and I have seen other pages where those are put in the plot summary for clarification. (Ex. Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando#Plot) If that does not meet the standard, then I will stop. MarvelAge91 (talk) 17:09, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
