Important
[edit]His capture put at risk the D-Day landings. But he didnt talk. Despite being tortured, he didnt talk. That should be emphasised in the article. This was a very brave man. Had he talked more Americans, Canadians, British and French would have died when D-Day took place! 213.114.17.89 (talk) 16:08, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
Is the name correct?
[edit]The hyphen between his first name Johann and the Danish surname Nielsen is odd. What's the original/primary source for this unusual combination? (it looks like it's just copied from one secondary source to another). Danish sources (incl. the newspaper for the Danish minority in Denmark which the family belongs to: https://www.nordschleswiger.dk/de/nordschleswig/doppelagent-apenrader-wurzel) give his name as Johann Nielsen Jebsen which would be much more logical both in a Danish and German naming tradition.--Batmacumba (talk) 08:15, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
