The article says nothing about him living in or having any other connection to Indiana, yet he is buried in Indianapolis, in the most prominent cemetery in town. John's medal is now on display at Hillman Library on Pitt campus. Would a photograph of the display be appropriate? Also, I have high-res macro images of the medal itself--outside of the case--available if that would also be deemed useful to this article.

Although Woodruff served in the Army during the Korean War era, there are no reliable sources found as of yet state that he was in a war zone during the war. More specifically, the sources do not establish defining role in the Korean War.
