[edit]The material about the UK medical establishment's response to MMC is currently unsourced and needs supporting references. seglea (talk) 10:58, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
I have reverted some of the edits recently made by user:Demophon. Most of those edits were much needed, but to my ear they've gone a bit far. The guidelines in wp:MOSBIO are recommendations, not requirements, and in the case of a UK academic who is a full professor, the most usual way of referring to them in a biographical context is as "Professor X" - plain "X" sounds faintly derogatory (though of course it is what is used once the discussion becomes disciplinary). seglea (talk) 23:22, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- Demophon has changed it back again, and he's right - wp:mosbio is unambiguous on this... still sounds wrong to me though, but it may be just because I know the person. I suspect, though, that MOSBIO is being influenced by US practice here, which is different from UK practice; I'll raise that in the appropriate place. seglea (talk) 18:34, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
