Copyvios
[edit]Much of this article looks to been have copied from sporting-heroes net; I've removed the apparent copyvio before but been reverted, but am going to try to remove the contentious paragraphs again. For example, the following is a direct copy;
- "Exeter born John Scott was in the same mould as England teammate Roger Uttley in that he could play in either the second or back rows. Indeed, John played three times at lock forward and earned thirty-one caps in his favoured position of Number Eight. He was also one of a number of Englishmen of his era to play for a Welsh club along with the likes of Tony Swift and Maurice Colclough. Colclough and Swift both played for Swansea, whilst John captained Cardiff in four successive seasons and helped them win five out of six Welsh Cup Finals between 1981 and 1987." --Bcp67 (talk) 11:40, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
- Have added the copy & paste template, so the article can be assessed by someone for copyvio. --Bcp67 (talk) 11:46, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
- Pretty much the whole things been copied, and in fact looking at the Cardiff RFC website, a chunk of that sporting-heroes article was paraphrased from them! The problem is that there are no cites to back a lot of this up, certainly online there wont be much. I've done some work on editing out the more flowery language and correcting the chronology, but this needs someone to spend a lot of time working through it all. This will take a lot of work before that copyvio notice can be safely removed. Jkmaskell (talk) 16:09, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
- I removed it all. MER-C 11:35, 31 October 2021 (UTC)
