I removed the bit about his religion, as the only source we had was a Daily Banter (probably not reliable in any instance) article titled "Chick-Fil-A Isn't the Only Evil Fast Food Chain" - I have to imagine that article is not an RS. When I looked up Schnatter and the name of the church, I came up with list articles and local news results. Does anyone know of a reliable source which discusses his religion? ‡ Єl Cid of Valenciatalk13:46, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The section about Schnatter's use of a racial slur is balanced and well-sourced, but it constitutes a disproportionate part of the article's totality ... especially compared to the first 23 years of his leadership of the company. We have a responsibility under WP:BLP and WP:NPOV to give this issue appropriate weight. I'm going to try to add to that section and encourage others to do likewise, as that would be preferable to cutting material about the racial slur controversy. --Jprg1966(talk)00:06, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I do not think the first 23 years of his leadership outweigh the scandal of his exit?
But I would like to request that we rephrase so that the racial slur in question is not spelled out, reading it unexpectedly in a "respectable" corner of the internet hits like a slap in the face even when you're 'just reporting the facts'. 65.102.176.149 (talk) 05:19, 25 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not going to tell you how to feel, but words have weight and carry meaning, and the attempt to mute, nullify and I guess in this case civilize them serves only to detract from the gravity of what's been said in exchange for I suppose some degree of comfort to to your personal sensibilities. I would ask, do we want to make what's been said more palatable, more digestable, less explicit than what it was? I think a degree of weight and the potential ensuing disgust are warranted - unnerving as they may be. And no, that doesn't mean never substitute in "n-word," I'm just saying there's a time and a place with a specific function for doing so - which also happens to be about 98% of cases. John Snyder, Papa John percent owner I have a bad complaint
JOHN Schnieder my name is Pamela Griffin. I have a really bad complaint about a pizza that I ordered here in New Albany. It took two hours to receive the first set of pieces ended up on my front porch. I told them to come to my back porch. they left it on my front porch two hours. Then had you order more pizza after calling corporate and they still just said whatever the store said they will offer then I found out today. The next day there is hair all in my Pizza, which means they put the hair in there in the cheese. I don’t think you would like to find that in your pizza. Something needs to be done. I’m going to call a lawyer tomorrow which will be 18 November that is very disgusting to do people like that when they are the ones who did wrong by leaving Pizza on my front porch two hours to get cold and had to order more then they treated me rudely, but I will get a hold of the lawyer because I found her inside my cheese on my pizza to guest at my house, which is very embarrassing. I will make this world known. I will never get a good review for you after finding disgusting hair in my pizza, who’s not that it matters but I guess I might get a hold of my lawyer for November 18 and I am because it’s very wrong to do people like that who waited three hours for a pizza still didn’t make it right after finding hair in my pizza to get a hold of the lawyer tomorrow late. My number is 812557-9913 and I will give a baby every day if I have to, buy your pizza then you will make anything off of it. I will continue to go to Dominos Pizza Hut no more Papa Johns for me and I’ve been going there about 30 years not ever again thank you if you will reply if not, there will be one from the lawyer. 2600:1700:1F91:4060:A81A:795D:EF79:7E9 (talk) 01:49, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
