[edit]How do you edit this —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.83.146.186 (talk) 04:38, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Whoever it is who (anonymously) wants to delete this, citing the rule book, I personally don't believe this reads like an 'advertisement'.
Consider: is it better to have no article at all, or a brief biography that happens to mention that the man is still active? Recidivist23 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:01, 5 February 2011 (UTC).
Islands
[edit]I have removed the section that stated Rowles owns a string of small islands as it is not supported by any references and appears to be refuted by his comments in an article here. Melbourne3163 (talk) 05:53, 13 June 2014 (UTC)
Chart successes
[edit]I just heard Seattle's The Ride internet radio station (http://therideradio.net) playing one of John Rowles' songs, charting in the United States in 1970. As the show will be repeated on Wednesday I 'll add the title here in a few days. 83.85.143.141 (talk) 02:54, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
- Apart from this: "If I only had time" also charted big in the Netherlands. 83.85.143.141 (talk) 02:56, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
"Cheryl Moana Marie", released on Kapp Records (see: https://www.discogs.com/John-Rowles-Cheryl-Moana-Marie/master/484964) did chart in the USA (see http://poparchives.com.au/2577/john-rowles/mlady). It entered the Cash Box Singles Top 100 on January 16th, 1971 (http://tropicalglen.com/Archives/70s_files/19710116.html) and peaked at #78 on January 30th and February 6th following. It sounds like an Engelbert Humperdinck-song and should have been huge imho. 83.85.143.141 (talk) 21:53, 5 October 2016 (UTC) (from the Netherlands)
- More on John Rowles' personal life and career can be found here: http://folksong.org.nz/cheryl_moana_marie/, and here: http://www.muzic.net.nz/artists/765.html (this content shows up on other websites, like at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2341168/ and at http://sergent.com.au/music/johnrowles.html). 83.85.143.141 (talk) 12:56, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
