Update
[edit]Dr. Powers passed away on January 17, 2013. I'm a family member. Not sure how to add the appropriate citation for the date of death and whatnot, but here's a link: http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/theater/theaterloop/chi-author-of-patent-leather-shoes-dies-20130117,0,6614772.column — Preceding unsigned comment added by StephanCom (talk • contribs) 05:43, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

[edit]I don't see the violation here:
The only shared text on these articles are the phrase "Powers has written four successful books" (where "successful" is the only "non-essential" word) and the sentence "Powers holds a Ph.D. in Communications from Northwestern University and was a professor of speech and performing arts at Northeastern Illinois University" which is strictly pat bio stuff.
(fyi... I wrote the above [unsigned] text in December, 2005 when this page was tagged by a bot as "possibly containing a copywright violation"; the tag was subsequently removed. Johnskrb2 (talk) 00:47, 31 May 2008 (UTC))
