Ray Kennedy?

[edit]

I'm not sure, but didnt Ray Kennedy leave the John Pizzarelli Trio just recently to pursue a career of his own?

  • I didn't realize he was no longer part of the trio, but you are exactly right. According to a post from John on his website on his forums, he has been pursuing other things since at least 2003. Larry Fuller is the current pianist. Here is his post [1].(Mind meal 04:50, 8 July 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Broadway?

[edit]

I saw him in "Dream" on Broadway. His trio was the on-stage band. 1999? 1997? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.2.10.242 (talk) 15:39, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

References needed banner removal

[edit]
  • Specific text to be added or removed:
1. Add two references to end of lead section...
  • <ref name="AllMusic bio">{{AllMusic | id= john-pizzarelli-mn0000230290 | tab= biography | title= John Pizzarelli biography}}</ref>
  • <ref name="AllMusic credits">{{AllMusic | id= john-pizzarelli-mn0000230290 | tab= credits | title= John Pizzarelli credits}}</ref>
2. In the discography subsections that need support add the reference to headings
  • <ref name="AllMusic credits" />
3. Remove references needed banner
  • Reason for the change: References supplied so "references needed" banner can be removed
  • References supporting change: [2] [3]
  • Note: I am not connected with this person, I don't edit in the article space as I support paid accounts. I just discovered the artist and while looking him up, decided two references could fully support the claims in the article. Thank You Apriltools (talk) 01:56, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I made the first edit of adding the citations to the lead. The discography references are not adequately explained in the edit request, so I did not make those edits. I support removing the maintenance banner above the article because the the article appears to be adequately sourced, especially in comparison to similar WP:BLP articles on Wikipedia. At minimum, the banner could be moved to be over the discography section until those citations are added. This is a recommendation that needs community consensus, so I add this suggestion here and encourage other editors to weigh in. Go4thProsper (talk) 01:09, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
User:Go4thProsper Thanks for your edit. While more input is welcome, I don't think an RFC is required to remove the maintenance banner, see item #4 in this section, When to remove. (The person who left the tag did not leave an explanation on this talk page.) I concur that moving the banner to the Discography section would be a compromise, but nearly all of the section is blue-linked and the AllMusic reference I provided (and reference #7) probably covers all of the claims. Thanks again! Apriltools (talk) 04:38, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. It looks like the user[4] who set the maintenance banner[5] will not be able to discuss this issue. Apriltools (talk) 05:50, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the banner because enough time has elapsed since this discussion was initiated and no other editors have weighed in on the issue. I won’t object if others disagree and want to reinstate the banner, (or move it to the discography), but I’m now supportive of removing the maintenance banner and have now done so. User:Go4thProsper That looks so much better, thank you! With the tag in the heading, it makes the inference to the reader that the entire article is unreliable. At least with a section tag, we don't have to try to read the editor's mind, just fix the section and remove the tag.
Do we need to add the tag to close this edit request? {{edit COI|A}} Thanks again!!! Apriltools (talk)
Yes and I have done so. Edit request closed. Go4thProsper (talk) 03:08, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
