Updated link for John Overton Letter from Southeastern Native American Documents. Also added finding aid links for the John Overton Papers, Claybrooke and Overton Papers, and Murdock Collection of John Overton Papers, all from Tennessee State Library and Archives. QUESTIONABLE ANCESTRY:
[edit]It is my understanding that the ancestry of John Overton from the English General Robert Overton is conjecture and not fact. Does anyone have any documentation? Please do not cite Find-A-Grave, it is not a reliable source. Dw1810 (talk) 23:39, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
