Not all the "arrangements" are just "arrangements!

[edit]

Many of the titles listed as arrangements are Beck's original compositions. I remember singing under him as a guest conductor of his works at a large church in Columbus in the 1970s and I know "Canticle of Praise," "Song of Exaltation," and "Unto this Rock" were all original works of his, not arrangements of someone else's compositions. Some may also have been collaborations with Johnny Tatgenthorst, who did percussion and I believe also taught at OSU.

It might make good sense if someone were to go through these and put a second section in for the compositions. Otherwise it looks like he simply did derivative work on other's originals. That's definitely not the case.173.76.235.46 (talk) 23:39, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
