First paragraph under "Political Views"
[edit]I don't see anything that would make this first paragraph about performing a USA show with some other comedians fit under the "political views" topic. 24.116.97.236 (talk) 03:55, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
Update Main Picture (?)
[edit]At what point do you update pictures? Genuine question, because he has not looked like that in years. Which makes sense, its a pic from 2014. 2601:680:CC02:A580:74D5:F846:F2BB:D3F (talk) 10:50, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
Cut Photo of Sondheim
[edit]I removed the photo of Sondheim from John’s page because it shouldn’t be on John’s page. Only photos of John should be on John’s page or John with other people. The Sondheim photo looks too much like John that it’s deceiving. Jonesy131313 (talk) 17:56, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- No? There is a picture of SNL there. The caption clearly states Mulaney portrayed a fictional version of Sondheim. It is not "deceiving" whatsoever. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 19:24, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- I do not see a picture of SNL nor was the photo I removed a picture of SNL. It was a full picture of Sondheim that filled the entire picture. I was deceived by seeing the photo of Sondheim on John’s page. Surely there are more photos of John that could be included on HIS page and not waste space to see Sondheim. What is the purpose of the Sondheim photo? He is mentioned in the text. Photos are used to provide history of the person whose page it is. A photo of JOHN in the play would have been appropriate. - John Mulaney#Career, there's a picture of the SNL set right there. No Mulaney either. It is not deceiving, there is a caption that starts with "John Mulaney portrayed a version of..." I am not saying there necessarily has to be an image there, but your reasoning is not right and there is no reason to remove it. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 19:49, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- I see the SNL set photo you are talking about. I’m talking about the photo right below “2015–2019: Career stardom”. There is a full blown photo of Sondheim all by himself. It does not belong on John’s page. There is not another bio webpage on Wikipedia that has a full picture of someone else. Sondheim photo it is not needed for the discussion. Why does the reader need to see Sondhein’s photo? It’s not germane to the discussion. There are more and better photos of John that the reader would be interested in seeing. I myself do not care what Sondheim looks like but I sure would love to see more photos of John. We obviously can’t agree so it should be put to a vote and not try to bully each other.
